Winter Warm-Up Kick-Off Program

     

About the Rally

The Capital Area Health Alliance (CAHA) partnered with Community Partners in Health to host a Winter Warm-Up Kick-off and Choosing Health!® Rally on Saturday, January 18, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Lansing Mall! Free transportation to and from the Kick-Off & Rally were generously provided by CATA.

The purpose of this Rally and future Rallies is to get our region out walking and to expose them to resources that will be available through the Winter to help their pursuit of healthy lifestyles. Attendees had the opportunity to sign up for local organizations' winter programs and/or get information about what organizations have to offer, learn about the 2014 Winter Warm-Up (a free 9-week program for all Mid-Michigan residents designed to improve your health and fitness), and register for the Blues Community Challenge. Lauren Evans (WILX) and Judi Brown Clarke (Keynote Speaker and five-time National Champion) kicked off the Winter Warm-Up Program and the Blues Community Challenge.

• Kick-Off Walk, organized by Community Partners in Health
• Door Prize Drawing, featuring prizes donated by Cheddar's, Chuck E. Cheese, Creative Wellness, Grace Hospice, Hilltop Yoga, Impression 5, PGPA Pharmacy, Playmakers, Suburban Ice, Sparrow Health System, and Zap Zone Fun Center
